HONG KONG 2018
Hong Kong, a gorgeous country that for most of my childhood seemed to be my second home. Every April for as long as I can remember up until I was 9 my family would head to Hong Kong to experience everything it had to offer. For the first time in over 10 years, I got to experience Hong Kong again. This time I was able to capture all the unique and quirky things that Hong Kong has to offer.
The biggest trouble for any commercial photographer is drawing a line between work and play. When I pick up my DSLR I sometimes feel as though I am on a job, so its hard to draw the line between wanting to capture every moment and putting my camera away to enjoy the moment. In the past, I have been shooting film for a change of pace and so I don’t feel obligated to edit my images straight away, but after losing all of my images whilst changing film in Venice, I decided it was wise to take my Canon DSLR with me on this trip. If I am being honest, I couldn’t have been happier with these images, I was able to draw the line between work and play and had a fantastic holiday.
Anyway, this isn’t an advertisement, just some travel pictures for you to scroll through!
And that’s it for now, you can find the rest of my Hong Kong Album in our Gallery tab!
Through this trip I can’t say I tracked where I was eating, though the rule of thumb in Asia is the more popular the place looks generally doesn’t equate to authentic food (though when finding dingy places to eat with the best food, just pray you don’t get sick).
Please note these photographs were taken for my own pleasure, but if anyone would like a print, please email megan@mjdesignpix.com
